On sale for £29m: Kinpurnie, Scotland's most expensive estate

With a collection of holiday cottages, thousands of acres of farmland and a castle to look after, owning the Kinpurnie estate certainly isn't a walk in the glens.
But for £29m, you could be the owner of what is said to be the most valuable estate in Scotland - and one which hasn't appeared on the market for over a century.
The Angus estate, which has been owned by wealthy shipping dynasty the Cayzers since the early 1900s, covers 5,400 acres and includes woodland, an assortment of residences and six lochs (though sadly, there's no legendary monster).
Until his death last year, the estate was home to Sir James Cayzer, the great-grandson of Sir Charles William Cayzer - a Victorian schoolmaster's son who went to sea as a teenager and ended up founding a shipping company that made the family's fortunes.
So wealthy was Sir Charles that he was able to to give a Scottish estate to each of his six sons.telegraph.co
