Gibbs Gillespie took part in Zoopla Property Group's inaugural 7-A-Side Charity Football Tournament which took place on Sunday, 2 June at The Hawthorns, home of Premier League football club West Bromwich Albion. 20 teams came together to take part in the tournament in aid of the Estate Agency Foundation which is dedicated to helping eliminate the causes of homelessness.
The standard of football was very high throughout the group stages and knock out rounds. The team from Gibbs Gillespie finished top of Group 4 with four wins and sailed through to the quarter finals where they battled it out with Miles & Barr. Despite being held for the majority of the game, the opponents scored in the last five minutes and won the match 1-0.
Luke Allday, Partner at Ruislip Manor Sales and team captain commented: "It's fantastic to see such a large number of firms turn out to support the work being done at the EAF. To see the industry come together to contribute to major housing issues faced by all communities in the UK is inspiring and we're very proud to have been selected to compete in the tournament and to win the trophy for Best Team Kit!"
Student Tenant Find came out the eventual winners beating Streets Ahead 4-0 to secure victory and take home the EAF Cup.
