Japanese tenant expands with pre-let at Cambridge Science Park

photoOn behalf of Development Securities, Savills has secured a pre-let of Building 430 CSP at Cambridge Science Park to Takeda Cambridge Limited (TCB).
The UK research subsidiary of leading Japanese pharmaceutical Takeda Pharmaceuticals Company has agreed to a new 42,000 sq ft (3,900 sq m) research and development building in order to support ongoing company expansion. With detailed planning permission secured, construction will commence in February 2014 and the building is expected to be completed by Q2 2015.
Rob Sadler, director at Savills Cambridge, comments: "TCB's decision to sign a pre-let at Cambridge Science Park is testament to the park as a leading destination for R&D occupiers as well as signalling confidence in the wider Cambridge market. Only two plots remain undeveloped at Cambridge Science Park with planning consent for laboratory and research space across two buildings, 420 and 440 CSP, and interest in both buildings is strong."
Mark Carlton, CSO & President, TCB adds: "We are pleased to be developing our operations in UK and are fortunate to be able to do this adjacent to our existing facility on the Cambridge Science Park."
Development Securities is development manager on behalf of land owner, Trinity Hall.
