Savills is booked to sell Woodland Manor Hotel, Bedfordshire

Savills has been instructed by 3R Construction to bring to the market the Woodland Manor Hotel in Clapham, Bedfordshire at a guide price of ?1,750,000. The trading property is offered for sale with vacant possession.
Set in approximately 4.7 acres (2 hectares), the Grade II listed manor house hotel occupies a secluded yet accessible trading location, just two miles from central Bedford and 18 miles from Milton Keynes.
Constructed in 1901 as a private residence for the then Justice of the Peace, William Long Fitzpatrick, the property has a rich history, including its use as a hospital for the Ministry of Supply after World War II.  Woodland Manor was converted to a hotel in 1973 and today incorporates 35 en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant with 55 covers, a library and conservatory as well as a three-bedroom detached cottage. There is capacity for up to 90 people in the combined restaurant and function room making the hotel the ideal setting for private and corporate events.
