V&A Illustration Awards 201

Original artwork from the best illustrated book, book cover, editorial illustration and student illustrator of the year are recognised.

Entry to the V&A Illustration Awards is free and takes place online. All winning entries can be viewed here on the V&A website, and the annual submissions increasingly constitute an online archive of contemporary illustration styles. The winning books are added to the holdings of the National Art Library and may be read in the Library's Reading Rooms in the V&A.

There are three published categories: Book Cover, Book Illustration and Editorial Illustration (newspapers and magazines). 
The winner in each category receives ?2,000 and a trophy and the judges select an overall winner of the V&A Illustration Awards who will receive an additional ?2,000.

There is one student category. 
The Student Illustrator of the Year receives ?2,000 and a trophy. The Student runner up receives ?1,000.

How to enter the 2014 Awards

Entry into all categories of the V&A Illustration Awards is only via the online entry form.

You will need to register before submitting your entry. To do so, use the link in the Submit an entry box on the right hand side of this page and select the Create new account tab. Once you have registered you can log in following the same link. If you have previously registered, but have forgotten your username or password, please re register.
