Haringey residents urged to take advantage of customer service changes

People living in property to rent in the London borough of Haringey should try to take advantage of the changes made to customer services within the council.

Residents are being urged to use the internet and telephone to make payments, check information and get in touch with Haringey Council.

Two of the four call customer service centres in the borough are due to close as the government makes cutbacks, which is likely to affect residents living in flats to rent in London borough of Haringey, as well as other people.

"The more residents are able to contact us online or by phone, the more we will be able to focus on protecting resources and targeting them at those in greatest need," said cabinet member for finance and carbon reduction councillor Joe Goldberg.

Earlier this week, the refurbished Bruce Castle Park tennis courts in Haringey were officially opened by Roger Draper, the chief executive of the Lawn Tennis Association.
